Season 2, Episode 07 – "South Donegal"
Dermot heads to the wild west of Donegal to explore the county's Irish-speaking Gaeltacht, where the people, music and food are anything but ordinary. After a crash course at Glencolmcille Folk Village - a living museum celebrating old Irish traditions - Dermot bravely puts his Irish to the test ordering a pint in the local pub. He also discovers an old Irish cure-all: carrageen moss pudding, a surprisingly delicious seaweed dessert said to keep everything from colds to heartbreak at bay. Down the road in the fishing town of Killybegs, Dermot gets hands-on with the Molloy family, learning how to fillet monkfish like a pro. He then meets the Shine family, who produce beautifully crafted tinned fish using rare seasonal catches from the Atlantic. Over an unforgettable 'seacuterie' feast, Dermot discovers why Donegal's seafood scene is making serious waves.
