This feature extends the E-Documents framework to support Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), which enables organizations to exchange business documents electronically with vendors and partners using widely adopted industry standards. Key capabilities include:
- Leverage the existing E-Documents framework as a unified platform for managing electronic document exchange.
- Enable organizations to send and receive structured business documents without relying on paper-based or manual processes.
- Exchange documents using Peppol BIS 3, which is an often used for electronic procurement and invoicing, but also opened for adding new formats based on local or customer standards.
- Support order exchange, and sending remitannce advices, and is open for additional document types.
- Facilitate standardized document exchange between organizations and vendors.
- Automate the generation, transmission, and processing of electronic business documents.
- Align with regulatory, industry, and partner requirements for electronic document exchange.
